The Move

It all begins with an idea.

In the very early morning of January 1, 2020, my husband and I closed and locked the door of our Flagstaff home for the last time and began the 500 mile journey with our three puppies to our new home on the Western Slope of Colorado. It was a strange, bittersweet, and exciting feeling to leave Northern Arizona after 37 years. The past few months were spent packing, loading, unloading, and getting to know our new town. We’ve been busy settling into our new studio spaces. My ceramic studio has new insulation and drywall in the ceiling and soon there will be a new insulated roll up door and I will finish the mud, taping, and painting. I’m looking forward to making work again, though I have been working on some new kintsugi projects in the mean time.

It’s been a huge undertaking against the backdrop of a rapidly changing world. I’m happy to be in this new place. I like the peace and quiet of this little town. I look forward to sharing more with you as the days and weeks progress. Be well, friends.
